He is an Cairo born Egyptian musician and the pioneer in introducing advanced modern Jazz to the Middle East. He learned to play in his very early years. From the age of sixteen, he already began to work professionally with local western and oriental bands and classical orchestras such as Cairo Opera House Orchestra and Akhenaton Orchestra. He also had played in most of the Rock festivals which took place in Cairo.

Ahmed Rabie had stayed in Europe for a consecutive year making tours in a number of European countries such as France, Switzerland and Austria. He had played in various international musical festivals examples of which; the yearly Frankfurt Musical Festival in Germany, Leans Festival in Austria and Chiasso in Switzerland. Ahmed Rabie established his 'Jazz Fusion Band' in 1996, which is considered the first musical group to present this style of advanced modern Jazz in Egypt.

In 1998 he has received an award from the Faculty of Music in Cairo for his innovative advanced musical level.

Ahmed Tabie had played with a number of musicians such as Chick Corea's Bass Guitarist 'Jimmy Earl', the legendry Herbie Hancock during his visit to Cairo in March 2001 and the great Hossam Ramzy who is currently living in London.
